AC button (snowflake) wont turn off

Ok so since its been cold out and getting colder I've been using the heat and I've noticed that the AC button, the one with the snowflake on it, wont turn off even after i push it several times. I haven't had a chance to take the HVAC unit out and look at it yet but was curious if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it? The cars a 2004 Comp-G.
