AC always on when I start vehicle

Hey guys, new to the GP forums. My wife drives an 05 GT and the ac is always on when you start the car, it doesn't matter if you make sure it's off when you turn the car off. Has anyone had this happen? Is there an easy fix to it? It's no fun getting into a freezing car during winter when you remote start it and the AC is cranked. Any help is appreciated!
 


Can you adjust the hvac controls to hot/cold and hear or feel a difference? Same with the output location? If both of those work, check for voltage at the connector to the compressor. It shouldn't engage unless you're on a/c or defrost. I know if there's a fault in the module it will auto default to defrost, causing the compressor to stay on. If you see voltage at the compressor, that's probably the issue. If you see no voltage at the connector, and the compressor is still engaged, the clutch is probably seized and needs a new clutch or new compressor depending on who does it.
