Absolutely no interior lights

I just bought a 97 GTP with a hundred 78k on it for $350 because it had an issue draining the battery the previous owner had for some reason wired a circuit breaker directly to the interior lights now I have no interior lights whatsoever I have a feeling this probably burn up the BCM and I'm getting ready to pull my hud to see if the cold solder trick will make it work this is my first Pontiac GTP help please

We can't necessarily tell you what happened when you haven't described the wiring in more detail.
 
there was a circuit breaker from the fuse panel wired directly to the interior light in the passenger side floorboard could this have burnt BCM by backfeeding voltage
