ABS Sensor and Harness Question

I see there are two different ABS sensor #’s ....I also see in other places they are interchangeable. Does anyone have a definitive answer ? I have heard that the doorman replacements are Not as thick as the OEM so I was going to go geez. Thanks as always.

There’s any other additional parts you would recommend please let me know. I have been chasing lights for over a year. My mechanic had me change the cluster, the steering sensor , and bunch of other things. Light still comes on. I think I also had an additional issue which I believe it was resolved but still getting ABS light and traction control. Code goes back to things mechanic feels confident are not the issue.

I've been rocking Dorman replacement ones from a local parts store on my 00 GT for years now with no issues. As long as you make a good solid connection and heat shrink the wires at the splice it shouldn't matter. No sense in paying more than needed just for a GM part on this one.

Which sensors are throwing codes? The front sensors corrode into the harness in the engine bay. If it is the front ones with the codes trace up into the harness. I have had no issues with the Dorman brand harnesses. I have used them on several cars.

Mine were broken at the first clip on the control arm. I spliced at that location, eliminated that clip and moved the harness towards the rear of the car to give it more room to flex. 6 months ago and no problems since.
