• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ABS rebuild services; Looking for esteemed sources

SaukRapids

I can't car too good.
I took the car in last night and got it back today. The ABS module failed on my 05 GTP. I've searched and found cheapabs.com and an ebayer with decent ratings.

Has anyone had this done recently, and if so, which place did you use? The couple I found say 24hr average turnaround. I won't be paying the estimated $400 to swap in a used one ..that requires an additional charge for eh-hm, "ABS module programming". :th_liar:

I dug up my old thread because I'm finally getting this done. I'm trying to reach cheap abs and they are unresponsive as of today, March 2nd. I think I found the same people/person on ebay and tried sending another message.

If cheap abs doesn't pan out by tomorrow, I'll be trying a different service and post back results.

I sent the module from my 2001 GT to Matt because I thought it was bad, he actually emailed me to say that it tested OK, refunded my $99 and only charged me for shipping. Problem turned out to be harness wiring to the RF sensor, but good to find an honest guy these days.

If Matt doesn't turn up, also try Module Masters in Idaho. They did the ABS module on my suburban and I was happy with their work.

I got in touch with Matt. I'm sticking with him then, just based on recommendation. Unfortunately, he'll be gone next week (until March 10th). I just texted him and he apologized for the email issue. The ABS module will be in the mail very soon.

It can be driven without the module, but it'll probably just sit because the brakes are still off anyways. Broke a bleeder. Fixed it, but then the piston wouldn't seat in the caliper fully ..so, new calipers today. The core's I'll keep.

Alright then, Thanks for the input!

I went through modulemaster as well, and they had no way of testing my module, but rebuilt it and it fixed my problem. they are friendly and are out of Moscow, Idaho.

My module was returned from Matt very timely. I'd use cheapabs.com again, but hope I don't need to. Lol

Key on last night, and all my lights and chimes are gone. Nice.
