The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
so I scanned my abs codes and the scanner is showing no signal to any of it? I have the abs tc and stability light on as well. my car is an 04 any ideas??
OK thank you for the help. I will look into that. Tired of having to clear all the codes before getting info off the dic, But hey the car is in the Christmas spirit with all the lights on the dash haha.
Well from what I've been reading it says if a scanner can not communicate with the abs it's almost 99% of the time a bad ebcm. Looks like there is a few places to get it rebuilt for around $100
Before you buy a new EBCM, you might want to try this:
Find the wire that goes from the ABS module to the chassis of the car. Disconnect it where it connects to the car, check for corrosion. Clean up any corrosion from the connector and the chassis. Put it all back together with some dielectric grease.
I had a very similar problem on my 04 Impala, cleaning up the ground connection fixed the issue.
i've got the same problem. snap on scanner won't communicate with the abs . still got air in the system we think and can't get the scanner to bleed the module because it won't connect.
where's a good (cheap) place to get them rebuilt ? master module wants $160....myairbags.com is $69 ...anybody know if they're legit ? that's a big price difference.
