Can someone educate me about the abs system I just bought a grand prix gt it was hit on the front passenger side the cars running great and the abs seems the be good but my abs light it on well most of my lights are on ABS, Airbag, C sometimes the check engine

check the wires that come off the wheel hub, it may have come loose or got damaged from the crash, or you may have a bad wheel hub/bearing.

air bag light could be a ton of things, did the air bags deploy from the crash? that will do it for sure.

and a sometimes engine light, you could just need a tune up, take it to a autozone and have them scan it for codes, its free. try to get there when the lights on.

Thanks il pull the wheel of tomorrow I dont know anything about the wreck I bought it from someone who bought it wrecked they only need the car for a few weeks so he didnt know much about it yes it looks like the air bag maybe went off at some point and then they replaced it. is there a way to reset that airbag light or is it one of those thing when they go off it always stay on?

the sad part is sometimes people will just slap on a new bag and never hook it up, just enough to repair the steering wheel, best to have the air bag stuff scanned by a dealer, or a real good shop, they can narrow it down.

yea il have to get it scanned see it dont look like the drivers side has went off but the passengers side looks kinda goofy lol i know they both go off if they go off but thats the only thing that really hints to me they may have gone off

is your tcs off? i had air bad tcs and abs off all at once ended up being my abtcm module

Yes the tcs light was on but after I changed DICs it is not it up any more so that might be my problem where is the abtcm located and what does it do exactly??
