so while rewiring the terminals on the battery we took the car out for test drive to make sure the voltage was stable and then the power steering went out and we got errors saying traction control off.... service variable effort steering....service abs system....service traction system. and the abs indictor is is also on...anyone know why this is happening and how do we go about repairing this... i dont have a computer to read any error code only multimeter

Something threw a code, need to know what it is before you do anything. Otherwise it's just a shot in the dark.

Your vehicle must have magnasteer and that's why the steering "went out", it still works but it just takes more effort to use.

Check the first 7 inches of the wiring harness of each hub. Daughter had a bad wire on the driver side and a new harness fixed it. I had a code reader which helped find it. But I checked the resistance of each hub. Both were around 1100 ohms. Then I checked resistance the other way towards the engine and had like a stable 22000 ohms on pass side while moving the wire around and bounced all over heck on the driver side while moving the driver side wire. So that pointed me in that direction. I read somewhere hubs should be between 800-1200 ohms.
