All these light have now came on along with the low trac light on the center of the dash above the stereo. Im also noticing when braking normally that the brake pedal is being held up like if the car is braking on ice and sliding. Its summer time now so there is no ice or slick surfaces this is just happening for no reason, I did not go to a dealer but took the car to a trusted local mechanic who works on all American vehicles. He said that from what he found out was that the ABS computer got messed up and just needs to be reset. He didnt have the right computer tools to do this and said that the Dealer ship was the only people that could do that? Has any one else experienced this problem and does that sound right? Just want to know before i go to the dealer.

had the same probs, had the bearing replaced 2 times, left front, still doing it, suspect is the brain ( ABS ). SSSSOOOOOOO, back in the freakin' shop. AARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Just a quick followup, when my mech. was testing, he had a sensor wired into the wiring for the traction control. When he removed it, BAM, the problem went away. I believe the problem lies with the wiring coming out of the bearing/ sensor. Hopefully, this helps.

So you are saying that when you replaced the hubs all you lights were still on? I replaced them last week and they went off instantly and ever thing was good again. What do you mean by "he had a sensor wired into the wiring for the traction control" is this some thing he did to test or this was there from GM when the car was made? Since i fixed this problem my traction control is still kicking in when it shouldn't but im not getting any lights on the dash, may be what you are saying could help my ABS issue, please explain more about the sensor.

Same thing happened to me. Replacing both the front hubs did solve the problem for a few years. It must have been a faulty wheel speed sensor.

It's doing it again now. But I'm going to bother fixing it. Drives fine without ABS. :th_skull:

Sorry, I should have been specific. My abs/traction control would engage at slow speed, no lights on dash. At the shop, they wanted to attach sensors to the 4 corners to try and tell where the fault was. The sensors are like needles, they are slid into an electrical connection. the problem would not repeat itself. so the theory is that when the probe went into the connection, it made the wires connect better, and the problem went away. The problem of course, is that I don't know where exactly the connection is. But I am certain it is left front, the wire from the hub/bearing going toward the brain.

For the front wheels, Take your hands off the steering wheel and press on your brakes the steering wheel will turn one way when the ABS starts to pump the brakes. If it turns left the right ABS sensor is bad and visa versa
