• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ABRSIV GTP - Pic Heavy

Meh...iz ok.

How's the oil pan look?
Looked great until the header install took a turn for the worst. Looked great with the new pan after it was finished too. :th_lipssealed1:

Plans for a new car?
Not really. Bought an exceptionally clean '95 Sonoma standard cab, 4.3L 4L60e truck. Serves it's purpose for now, but looking into an engine swap. Was going to do an L67, but now thinking I will just do a small block eventually since it's been done a zillion times so getting info won't be too difficult. Going to be a while before I do anything with it since I drive it everyday. We've still got the wife's GTP that I get to tinker with. Got a block on a stand waiting to go together for it.

how did you do the mirrors under the hood?
They are cut from 1/8" thick plexiglass mirror. I attached magnets to the back of the pieces and just slapped them on when I was at a show or whatever. They aren't permanent since they wouldn't be able to withstand engine heat.

How come you got rid of it? maybe I missed something......that thing is sweet!

A few reasons... Repainting the entire front end when I got the new hood was one of the worst things I ever did. I looked fantastic, but I hated driving it. You never realize how much crap flies at your car until you have a spotless front end. I hated the idea of getting a single chip in the new paint. The car was never my daily driver, so mostly it just sat in the garage while I finished up payments on it. At one point, it sat so long that it killed the battery to the point it wouldn't hold a charge. After replacing the battery, I started to wonder why I had a car that I loved, but really didn't enjoy. It was my own fault, just my own mind refusing to allow me to enjoy it.

Shortly after thinking it over, my daily beater punched a fist size hole through the block and I had to start driving the GTP everyday. I drove it two weeks and made the decision to sell it, since my last nerve got stomped on when I was trying to beat a severe thunderstorm home and got stuck in hwy traffic at a dead stop behind an accident while the storm rolled through. It got pelted with rain and high winds, but thankfully no hail which was my biggest concern. However, I made the decision then that I just couldn't bring myself to daily drive it. I needed a truck anyway, so I could use the money for that.

I loved the car, but don't really miss it since I rarely drove it anyway. I know it seems silly to those of you who daily your cars. I have owned a few classic cars and have that classic car mentality I guess. It never saw bad weather or winter unless it was unavoidable such as on the Power Tour.

I sold it to a guy a couple towns away. I see it quite a bit since he lives just a couple blocks from where my wife works. He drives it daily, but takes really good care of it. I'm just happy that someone bought it that appreciates it, enjoys it, and is taking care of it.

Yeah I understand....you can get pretty attached to a car when you finally get it just how you want it. You did a great job on that one though, gotta hand it to you it is impressive. At least you get to see it once in awhile (probably a good and a bad thing at the same time) It's good that it went to somebody that takes care of it

.........the amount of fail is unreasonable....

Copy/pasted, took all of 6seconds.
Exterior:
Debadged
Special Edition Hood with dual heat extractors
Custom heat extractor grills
17" Bullitt Wheels
American Muscle spun aluminum center caps
1 3/4" bullet shaped chrome lug nuts

Btw abrasive, one of the cleanest, nicest engine bays i've seen. Absolutely love the color combo.

Wait this is yours? Your car is on my Google homepage LOL!
