What's up everyone??? I'm new to the forum and wanted to stop by and say what's up. I bought my 06 GP GXP in oct of last year with 62k. I have to say I love this car. I didn't do a lot of research on it and shortly after buying got a little nervous from some of the things I saw online. So..... I immediately got an extended warranty hahahaha. I am the type to baby my vehicles though so I know I shouldn't have too many issues with it. Mine is silver with the black interior minus the nav. Everything is stock at the moment and I think my first move will be the manga flow cat back system. But I want to do different tips I saw on a site today. Well I look forward to meeting you all on the boards and learning from everyone hear.

welcome. catback will be fine, just look for some mufflers. i recommend borla or just straightpiping because its a v8.
 
Thanks guys. I have been thinking the same thing and thought it would be better doing a "system"

I had a charger sxt I did reso delete and replaced with muffler and dual out the back. ....... So maybe reso delete and mufflers and sweet tips???? That may be super loud too on our rides huh? My charger was the big 6 and sounded like an 8. My GXP might sound like a 747 hahaha......
 
itll be quiter than straight pipes. your best bet is to youtube some sound clips and see what ya like best
 


Yeah I did that. I really like the sound of the magnaflow cat back but price..... Not so much. I still would get it but I would be upset if I spent the money on it and wasn't happy. I'm watching everything on an iPad and don't have exterior speakers to really crank it up and really compare. The other thing is that that kit comes with mandrel bent pipes. Doesn't that make a difference? Never looked to see what's stock. As far as in the bends
 
as I stated before, catbacks dont do anything ever, beside add sound, which is ALL in the mufflers.

Buy some magnaflow mufflers, get them welded on and thank me for saving you money.
