• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Folks:

I am about to embark on the installation of an L32 in a really nice 1987 Fiero and I just realized that the problems of installing it as a Series III are likely going to force it to be installed as a Series II.

The donor engine/ transmission/harness/pcm/bcm are from the same 3800 series III 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix.

It will be professionally installed by someone that has installed a bunch of Series I and II engines, but I can use all the input I can get!

I will be posting a lot of questions, I am sure.

We can start with, has anyone done this swap and if so I am interested in wiring/PCM/transmission related solutions." We have all of the physical issues covered (such as mounts, axles, exhaust, etc).

A picture of the car is attached. More pictures of the car are here: Picasa Web Albums - D2

Thanks in advance!

David

Welcome to the community.

As a former owner of a Fiero, I will be watching this build with anticipation. There are a few that have done the swap. One of them had a website that appeared to have some really good info on it. The address escapes me at the moment though. You might do a google search on L67 swap + Fiero or something like that. But there are some out there and they are running pretty quick at the track.

:th_sign-welcome1: My Husband Trannyman95 (Dave) has been talking to a couple of guys that want to do the same swap. Sinister Performance (Ryan) does those swaps he does awesome work!! He is a member on this board if u have any questions u could always send either one of them a PM.

Welcome to the forums!!!! V8archie is the original swapper...I am lucky.as he is only 2 miles away form me... LOL!!!!!

there are quite a few sites out there that bring up great knowledge of the swapped fiero.

one of them is: Pennock's Fiero Forum - Main Page

the forum link is on the left....

hope that helps you out!!!!

Welcome!

I've got a buddy at work that has a Rx7 with a LS1 in it and he's currently working on installing a 3800 Series II in his buddy's Fiero.
