A free 96 GTP

Hello. I am a new owner of a 1996 Grand Prix GTP 3.4L DOHC. It needs lots of love as it has sat for 5 years and I don't know Pontiac's very well so expect many questions soon.

The story of a free GTP.
My aunt had this car sitting outside of her house for 5 years so I asked about it and she said it wont start. Then she said if I could get it running I could keep it. I started checking it out. Dead battery so I replaced that for $80 and noticed that when I turn the key over all the lights blink... Possible cause is alarm was my first thought. Checked it out and thats what it was. I disconnected the aftermarket alarm and it started right up. Pumped up the flat tire washed it and its been running ever since. No maintenance of any kind has been done on it since they owned it so I got my work cut out for me doing all that. Been driving it for about 4 months now.

Excuse all the dust on it as everyone is plowing the grass fields around here.

very cool nice GP but for really loose the rims. depending on the mileage you may want to think about doing the timing belt on that 3.4 DOHC

Nice! lose the rims though...just not my cup o tee but if you like them, thats all that matters. Any more pics of the car? engine? interior?

I'm glad to know im not the only one who HATES those rims. Even if the bolt cover things were on there I still think Arelli rims are ugly. The Body has some issues where the plastic ground effects are but its got a straight body. There is 140k miles on it. many things need done thanks to its milage. The interior is in good shape. Only a few parts to complete it all. I need 2 HVAC knobs, two new window/lock covers on the doors and a center console hinge for the arm rest, thats all. I'm not sure ill keep it long, thinking about it anyway. Im not happy to find out I have to almost pull the motor just to change the sparkplugs, Stupid! I do Audio/Video not engines. I changed the Oil+filter, flushed the coolant, air filter and fuel filter today I thought that was a good start for now. Anyway here is a few more pictures. I think it will look pretty good once its all cleaned up, polished, waxed and has new rims.
