• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

A few pics of the new aquisition

Use quality foam pads
I used the freebee that came with my little bs turtlewax 6" orbital and it left no swirls
it also came with a microfiber buffer that worked pretty good

God damn that's a totally different car!

Thankfully so. It looked like hell, for sure.

damn! looks good! like the rim change :th_thumbsup-wink:

Yeah, the OEM triangle wheels. Yikes.
what kinda pads do you use? I can buff my paint for days and will still have little swirls...

Some of the better pads commercially available at paint supply stores are the Mirror Glaze and 3M waffle foams. Check out a detail supply shop or paint store for 'em.

Key there is orbital. That's a fancy name for waxer- They don't leave swirls, but they also don't remove anything.

You sir, do awesome work. That car looked terrible when you got it, now it looks brand new. Having the skills you do really helps when you want to sell a car. If it is cleaned up like that, it helps the resale a ton.

Nice looking cars.

I really couldn't believe the guy selling it didn't at least attempt to clean it up...Hell, he didn't so much as wash it. We drove 3 states away to get it, and when we got there, my wife just about said forget it. I told her "Trust me." ;)

What kind of paint did you use on the front bumper? It looks like it was done in your garage...

I need to re-paint my front bumper soon... did you wetsand/buff the front bumper as well, or do you treat it differently since it was a re-paint?

Oh, and that looks Amazing!!!!

I'm also moving to your neck of the woods in June... well, Fort Rucker, AL isn't exactly close, but I'm told I'll be spending time in Panama City at the "Redneck Riviera"

THANKS!

PPG Deltron B/C, I use a Binks HVLP Gravity feed. I will colorsand and buff the bumpers soon, givin' em a week or so to cure before.
Ft.Rucker isn't a bad drive from PC, I gather you'll be doing some TDYs at Tyndall? Holla when ya get down this way!

Haha, yeah, I do tend to like Black. Here's the other one, just for fun.

Not really a fair comparison, as we've has the '02 since new, and it's been a garage ornament it's entire life. The '01 looks pretty good until you get 'em together. LOL
