I was detailing my car today and near completion I wanted to do something new to my headlights to make them look clearer.Well dumb ass me I polished my drivers headlight and tried to clear up a white mess it left. Then to make matters worse I sprayed some clearcoat on top.The main part of the headlight looked like crap.I couldnt belive my idiotic mistake lol.I usually use protectant and call it a day.I got maybe half of it out from tons of wetsanding and protectant and whiping.but it still kinda looks crappy on the main headlight(not corner).I want to know if my headlights would look good tinted(still have half a can of vht sitting around)?I dont want that mess showing,Any help?Oh and anybody with tinted headlight pics that would help :)

DONT ever tint the headlights. Its dumb and ticket city, cops will get yea and light output will be ****.

Go to rockauto and look up your car and find headlights, They should be like 35 bucks for the whole thing plus shipping.

oh ok.Yea at first i thought about the cop situation and light output but maybe one coat or two of vht.I dont know though.Probably just end up getting new headlights, and for now i guess ill keep sanding.Whats the lowest grit i should use?I did wet 600 and 2000 already

yep i'd rubbing compound them boys. if all else fails, tint your headlights. so long as you've got two functioning lights [fogs] in the front, you cannot get a ticket.
