• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Yea it is. I helped a friend change out his AC compressor in his corvette and it needs r12. He doesn't wanna retro to 134a

Man, I don't know if he'll have a choice. IIRC you have to be "certified" to even get it. And even then how much is he willing to pay for a can? Last time I got my hands on one it cost me almost $30.

He only needs about 1 more can. I'll ask him how much he wants to pay for one

good luck finding some, and good luck finding some cheap, we sold a little bottle for almost 500 bucks...that ****'s not cheap

He said he'd be willing to pay 60 for a can. And in eBay all the sellers he fonds wants a copy of his certification

Due to federal law, only licenced repair shops can possess r-12. Might as well go to the pros for a recharge.

I may have a way. If your buddy can hold on and give me till the weekend I'll see what I can do. My Dad has his license and I think I know someone who has a few cans kicking around. Not sure on the price but would probably be looking at $40 or so per can. With my work schedule and sick 4yr old the weekend would be my first chance to get to over to him.

Scotty- I'd bet that it was Freeze-12, the replacement that is supposedly compatable w/ the old R12 systems. If you don't need a license to buy it, then it's not the old R12. Good ol EPA...
