A/C problem, light stays on, no cold air

For some reason my car's A/C won't work. It was working fine when I last used it last fall. I checked the pressure, I got normal in feron so it's not from leak.

The A/C button (manual HVAC, not auto with dual climate) seems to be stuck in the on mode, the yellow A/C light remains on no matter how many times I pressed it. And the air coming from the vent is no colder than ambient air.

Any idea why the A/C light is stuck on and where can I look for cause of A/C not cooling?

I have the same AC controls as you. Fan, level, cold to hot knobs and 3 buttons. AC, recirculate, rear defrost.

Pretty sure the reason the light stays on when the fan is on is that the switch is bad, mine worked fine for several days after I got the car then all of a sudden anytime I turn the fan on the AC comes on. Not a big deal right now, as it's about 762* here until December so I'll mess with soldering on a new switch then.

Does the clutch come on? And when you checked the pressures what were they? High and low side pressures and the ambient temp outside?

well I was in the same situation you were in with the ac not working. For me it was the ac compressor not working and some other things and for total it was over $400. 04 Grand Prix GT 3.8L
