With everything i got a quote for 300. I got to thinking last night, what if i just take an aluminum can, cut it to fit the hole so it goes around the hose and take 2 hose clamps an clamp the piece of aluminum can to the spot where the whole is??? would it work??

yea. too high of pressure. you could just replace the line yourself for much cheaper. not much to worry about since the hole p[robably drained all the free-on out.

just a standard ratchet and wrench set. just make sure your positive that theres no freon in those lines first, cause that s*** can send ya to the hospital if ya get enough on your hands.

I'd have it done for $300. Because you should have a new accumulator and orifice tube since moisture got in there. Then vacuum it down and fill with freon to the proper level. $300 isn't a bad price at all.
