Heading into work this morning I stopped at a stop light when out of the blue a guy pulls beside me revving his TT (while blasting Benny and the Jets):th_laugh-lol2:, I give him a light rev...light turns green, and I give him time to get off the clutch and then we both punched it... he pulled a 1/4 car (allwheel drive) then all he saw was pontiac tail lights. Next light he smiles and give the thumbs up :th_thumbsup-wink:

That is a great song!
Bu..bu...bu.. Benny and the Jets

Nice kill,
Vw/Audi getting into my specialty..
TT's are not that fast, only come with the 1.8t
People tend to hype them up a lot more then they are.
Especially the owners.

Dont they have 2 different power options... FF = 180hp & Quattro = 225hp?

Quattro is offered in both coupe models.
180hp in most TT's
The only difference in the 180hp vs. 225 is remapped computer.
Both are 1.8t's the 180hp map is what VW sticks with.
Audi remapped the ECU to get some extra pony's by upping the boost.

But yes either way they are not "fast" I would say more so nibble and quick than fast.
I would personally go with an s2000 or bmw m coupe before the TT

I agree
High reving motors they are.

On that note I drove a prelude yesterday. h22a biggest FF motor Honda has made. I was impressed Vtech hit really hard.
Also drove a port polished, blue printed and mapped type r motor in a stripped eg hatch a few weeks ago. Now that is fast for what it is.. the owner (who was riding with me) told me to take it to 11k... I shifted at 9k because its kinda scary hearing a car start to sound louder than my street bike...
Very fun car to drive none the less. No power steering, a/c, radio, interior.
Pretty much set up for road courses.

Damn.....Did it have mufflers of some sort? Id hate to hear a open exhaust @11K.....busting ear drums and rattleing teeth out lol

I'm sure it was not as loud on the outside as it seemed in it.
There was no sound dampening materials in it. He had the whole shell stripped and painted. I'm sure it seemed so loud because it was resonating inside the car. Basically like riding in a speaker box.. HaHa
Don't get me wrong it is loud as **** out side too, not quite as loud as the bike "was"..
Yes I said was, I took that exhaust off and replaced it with a quieter one..
It was to loud I don't like being heard from miles away.. That draws cops attention..

When you say the H22a biggest FF motor Honda made, did you mean power wise? Displacment wise.. not the biggest... the H23a1 was. As for power the ludes with the H22's in Type-s trim were 220 hp and the SiR were 200hp all were V-TEC, where as the H23's were 160hp non V-TEC.
