99 Tahoe vs 99 Legacy...Legacy loses

So, the other day, my wife is on her way to Wal-Mart and yields at an intersection. The Tahoe behind her obviously forgot what that funky black and yellow triangle indicates...

It officially broke off a little something in its ass...the front tow hook from the Tahoe was embedded in the rear bumper of the Subaru. Currently, I've got three estimates: $2300, $2800, and $2900; all before the insurance has even seen the car. Wife is currently dealing with chiropractor and hospital visits due to the accident. I actually hope they total it...I'll take the money, buy the car back, and run like hell. I can fix it for about $150 and a little time. It'll suck that it'll have a salvage title, but that's the price that's paid for having a nice beater car. We already picked out a replacement vehicle in case they total it...either a 1995 Z28 automatic or a minty fresh, rust-free 1997 GP GT coupe. I think the car held up well considering she got hit at about 30mph, though.

I'll buy it back and fix it if anything. It's not that bad really. All these shops are estimating for a frame machine figuring the unibody is tweaked. I can adjust the bumper enough so no one would ever know even if it were.

And my Subaru is leaps and bounds above your Ferd...even if it's totalled. Why? Because not Ferd. LMAO

Seriously though, it's fully loaded: heated leather, heated wipers, dual moonroofs...like every bell and whistle. Car was/is really nice minus the accident. I spent about $800 repairing the engine about two years ago...complete rebuild with rebuilt heads.
