so a guy has a regal for sale down the street for me and wants 3500 for this car its a 99, GenV 3.5 MPS Tog headers 3.29 gear'd trans/shift kit. 05 GTP seats dark grey interior conversion, projector headlights only one within 3 states with them. GTP exhaust with SLP bumper cut outs. Custom guage cluster only regal with it, Interceptor scan gauge. Stang rims and 9c1 rims for winter. C5 vette brakes. 220k on the clock all of about %75 is hyway driven. Shocker and crazy carl tuned.

I'm thinking his engine has some killer kr. The 3.5 on his Gen V with only headers is most likely killing the engine.
 
sounds like a good car, BUT, buying some one else's modded car is never a good idea.


got a pic of the cluster? id like to see that.
 


if you buy it, be prepared to be swapping a new block in it sooner or later. or better yet a tranny. theres a reason its for sale.


my regal's got 223 on it. its a 98, it needed a new front end, and the rear suspension is next on the list. other then that it rides well, quite solid.

mine also has zero rust. you may want to get under it and check it out good.
 


only thing left to worry about is the engine lol find how many miles its been modded for too.

if you do buy it pick his brain of every last detail that was done to it as well. you know, so you have a clue what your getting into.


if theres no scanner hooked up to it, id walk away fast and not look back lol

Dave Frazier just did a trans, so have a few others. Many of the Regal guys take fantastic care of their cars and I'd buy a modded one from most of them.
 
bill, it is dave's car. i'm in that group on facebook so i just read over that he's selling.

i would not be worried about the motor. a 3.5/genV/headers is easily doable with the right tune.
 


yeah its dave's car. i think i would actually buy it. he has kept that car so clean and it is very tasteful imo.

i would not be scared of miles on this one,
 
No need for photo's...I'm well versed with the car. And the recent trans build etc. If you are going to do it.. nab it quick before he starts loving it again. Modding/car work can be love/hate and right now he's not in the love stage. A regal though..it has a way of getting you back to the love side quickly
