why buy a car thats already done when you can mod your own for less and youre paying for a GTX when its technically not worth anymore than a regular GP of similar specs?

also, what suggestions are you fishing for?
 
this gtx has 300hp + ported charger ,pacesetter headers, 42 lb injectorers ,charger intercooler, aftermarket fuelrails,3'' downpipe,shift kit ,3.4 pulleys,i think msd, cant remember, seems like a well put together car there are others i forget tho is this set up missing anything
 
im new at these cars all though i nust say there great cars as for the gtx it also has a 1'' pcm not sure what that is and a tuned computer i didnt hear anything about a cam or rocker set up im not on here trying to b.s. any one just looking for any suggestions that may need done or to just to chat with people who know these cars i think that this is all the car has i will check with the current owner and get back to you but knowing whats in it now what kind of hp should i expect thanks
 


If its a legit GTX that has the GTX wheels and hood Id consider the car depending on the price and mileage 1st. The GTX hoods and wheels are getting harder and harder to find. I believe the GTX wheels are 7 spoke. And I seen a silver one forsale yesturday on ebay, clubgp, or here dont remember where tho.
 
Well, he might be talking in crank hp. Is it a real slp gtx? and what kinda price is it? The gtx wheels are 6 spoke by the way :th_winking:

Not to sure what a 1" pcm means.

You might be getting 40-50 hp gains with that setup list above.. only way to prove is with a dyno sheet.

Look for a stock car, and mod it yourself.
 
Its hard to say what's really done to the car because he doesn't really know much about these cars. I can't see someone gettin all that stuff done and NOT gettin a good tune. But, having said that, I like the gtx. Its a cool car. I've got gtx tips on my car. Find someone in ur area that knows something about our cars and get it looked over. Only way to go on an already modded car. Personally I'm with bio. Find a gtp and build one urself for much cheaper
 
the car does have a full computer tune i spoke to the owner yesterday there is no internals it does have the gtx badges ,hood ,and SLP SPOILER, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT A 1''pcm is, is the correct gtx stock hp 260 thats what im told so if its a 40-50 hp increase on whats there its going 300-310 correct the car has 144xxx miles motor was built to stock standard to refresh it for the build a using hardened intake studs make sense ? the car price is $4000 thanks for the input
 
i would go over that car with a fine tooth comb before i even thought of buying it. it sounds like either you or the owner know nothing of what youre talking about. potentially both.

300 crank hp if you're lucky, wheel hp is probably under 250.. also depends on how good it's tuned, you're buying a car you know nothing about.

$4000 is a lot for 144k miles, like we are all telling you.. buy a STOCK GTP and do you're own thing to it.

You can pick them up for half the price, and lower miles.. and then dump the other 2k or so into mods.
 
You need to find someone that lives near you on the forums that knows their stuff to come take a look with you. Where do you live in pa? (not that I'd know enough to help)

youre right i dont know to much about these cars thats why i stated that earlier in the thread as for the owner i cant speak for him this is my first go at ft. wheel drive v6 muscle i always own rwd chevy v8's alot is diffrent on these ,so i'd apreciate any positive fedback that may help
