My car has been giving me acceleration problems over the last several months. About a year ago it was having bad acceleration for awhile. When I finally got around to solving it I found it to have bad plug wires that were giving a misfire. Once I changed them the car ran great for a few months. Starting a few months after that, the car started accelerating poorly again. If I sort of ease into the pedal it will do decent, but if I just slam the pedal down( worse the faster I'm going when I try to slam the throttle) it will hesitate quite a bit. When the hesitation occurs, I also get a foul smell like rotten eggs. Ive done some searching on the forum and it all seems to point to a clogged cat to me but I would just like to hear some other opinions. Thanks!
