Raced this guy Austin in his 86 Camaro and I-ROC'd him! by about...7 or 8 cars or so.

Halfway through the video, he put some gas in the Camaro and said his check engine light went off and he was running way nicer so we did a few more runs and he was wayy closer to me...almost on my bumper. I got 107,000 miles and he's got about 103,000.
 


thirdgen's have junk computers, if the light comes on it goes into limp home mode and cuts perfromance. Or so my thirdgen fuel injection book explained it
 


86 TPI = 190 HP.

Those mods might give him 220-250 but I highly doubt it, especially if he has no tune.

No tune = no real power gains.

So congrats, you beat a car with 200 horsepower.
 
Yea. Congrats. Let him feel happy. I don't know why people have to **** on everyone that posts a win on here. Analyzing from every angle to point out how they're wrong or an idiot. He won the race. That's all that matters, is it not?

Not really, it only proves one of two things, that physics is right or one driver is incompetant.
 


yeah it's THAT austin haha. Since he got the car back he thinks he's hot **** so i had to take him down a peg or two right? haha. And to clarify, the first few clips are when the 'maro was on fumes and had check engine light on. Then after he pumped some gas and started it up again, the light went off, it was sounding a lot better and he wanted to do a few more pulls so we went back out to where we were messing around and sure enough, he was a little closer to me. Still kind of a mystery why it made a difference but it did.

And I don't really feel bad about pulling 8 cars on a car putting down 200hp, as you can see in the video I've only got an intake on the GTP so I might be putting down 210 at the wheels max. I think it was more about gearing and the blower giving me more upper-RPM range torque than just, who puts down more ponies, ya know? He for the most part had me off the line (RWD and 245's>FWD and 225's) but I reeled him in pretty quick.
