I just wanted to say hi, and that I'm new to this forum. Just bought a 98 GTP Daytona 500 pace car edition. I also have a 2000 GP GT that I've had for the last 4 years now. Any suggestions on any performance upgrades, or cosmetic upgrades for the GTP?? Also, not a big deal, but the driver door is missing the "Daytona 500" emblem that is on there, anyone know where i can get a replacement?

Welcome! I too have a 98 Daytona 500.
As for the emblems GM no longer makes them. As far as I know there are only 2 decals left and I have one of them and both are for the left side... go figure.
I am going to have a few custom made so I can sell them to people who are interested in Pace Car Emblems.
That is simply the race flag decal. As for the cars I rarely see them for sale as well. If and when I find a set I will surely snatch them up and try to get a place to make them as well. It's hard tho because they are thick and not vinyl. They are like a rubber.
If you're interested I'll hop on this project a little quicker and see what I can do. I know the rubber emblems ran for $200 and each vinyl decal ran for about $75 a piece.
Total $350 for decals is outrageous but again... they aren't made anymore.
If I can get them made I'm pretty sure I can get sets for under $150 but it all depends on the cost of the rubber. I want to say under $100 but I have no clue how much it costs to make something like that.
As for performance. #1 thing I recommend is get yourself some HPTuners software and a Wideband Tuner.
If you want to mod a 3800 you will need to tune often. Just by putting a new intake on my car changed all the parameters like crazy.

yeah, I'd be interested, I have all the decals except for the inside drivers door decal. I am going Sat to get the windows tinted, I think I am also going to get new chrome grilles

I would also like a good windshield decal, the best one I've found so far is GRAND PRIX written in outline, but waiting to see if I can find something with GTP in it, that looks as nice.
