98 GTP L67 to L32 swap advice

Not sure what you mean by getting it rebuilt but I will get the L32 with 29k miles for $1050 shipped thats what I' going to order tommorow morning. It comes with the S/C and everything on it. I think its a great deal compared to what I was going to get for 2k. I think if I had the chance to get a L26 with the L32 heads and the Gen V S/C for the same price I would do it but I doubt I can find that for the same price. Being that I still have to get the tranny done too.

why would you not replace the bearings and the rings? how do you know this complete engine isnt hydrolocked or blown? i dont get guys buying junkyard engines and putting them into cars without even checking them

Rebuilding the 3800 is a fine art. Most rebuilds don't last as long as a virgin bottom end and start throwing copper. If I have to by a long block, I'll tear it down to the short block but no further.

Ask Farns how hard it is to rebuild this engine properly.

I know what your saying but they do come with a 90 day warranty not great but something, if it wasn't for some type of warranty most people wouldn't buy them.

I was told the same thing, your better getting a low mileage engine versus a rebuilt one, because more likely than not the low mileage one will last you longer and you might spend around the same.

year and a half ago....really?
You know it never ceases to amaze me the lack of effort it takes to be a smartass. I mean, seriously 01GTP do you EVEN no why, because L26 does not have the 8.5:1 piston compression ratio. Dam dude can you give the sarcasm a rest? It was a QUESTION.
