Been creepin on here for sometime now. Lots of good information.

Silver coupe with the chrome 5 spokes (which I prefer over the torque stars) with 190k on the body. 20 or so on the trans. Don't have any information on the motor. My brother bought it with a bad trans and I bought it from him back in April or May. Love the car to death. Been around GM cars my whole life and finally have one I can enjoy.

Just ordered a full set of KYB struts and a ZZP 3 inch catted down pipe. Can not wait to get these things on.

Also snagged my brothers old G8 slp exhaust tips. Should fill out the cut outs nicely.

Ill get some pictures eventually.

Future plans:

35 percent tint all around (jersey sucks)
Paint lower front and rear bumpers black
Vinyl the roof black
New headlights and taillights
Dash pod and gauges
More boost

as far as i can tell the tint laws are off the books now. i just passed inspection with tint on all 4 doors, the back window and a 5% brow on the windshield.

as you know nothing is allowed on the 3 front windows. yet i passed state inspection and so did a whole bunch of other cars in line with me that day.

if you have a commercial truck they will fail you for tint still. my friend's pick up failed for the tint on the front doors.


and im all the way up north, less than 10 miles from the GWB.
 
i was pulled over 2 times for the tint, but not since inspection. i think they just tossed it. why would they let you pass inspection is its not legal?

i know they used do a instant fail for tint.

Cops can still get you with it. The inspection station is only checking emissions and i believe it's up to the cops to enforce the law.
 
they dont even check emissions any more. but they do on commercial trucks still. commercial seems to follow the same old inspection that all cars used to have. like a good once over.


NJ used to fail you at inspection for tint, so why let it slide now? makes no sense. being this state would fail you for a rust hole in a bumper not to long a go lol
 
They did recently change the inspection standards for regular vehicles. As long as your check engine light isn't on you're golden.
 
I've also heard before that cops can't pull you over for just tint. Has to be some other violation?

Bottomline is that they can do whatever they want lol
 


Love the city. Had a few buddy's with a place for a year on 5th and Montrose (Washington). 'Twas a great year.


I'm on the hunt for a new hood and spoiler/trunklid

Spoiler could be repainted I suppose but the hood is fubar'd
 
Ill sell you my SD hood and spoiler for the right price since your local, debating on putting my car back to stock. Im trying to get some more money up to put into my Mustang
