98 Grand Prix panic alarm keeps going off

Hello,

We have a 98 Grand Prix that will randomly have the panic alarm go off, as if we have pressed the button on the key pod but have not.

Does anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting this?

does this happen when the key fob is out of range of the car, or while the keys are in your pocket walking away from the car?

out of range as we have tried to turn the alarm off with the fob, but had to get close enough to it so it would work.

thats a good one, could be the control module acting up.

mine did the same thing a few times but i ruled it out as my keys hitting the buttons while walking away from the car while in my pocket, i now keep the keys in my hand till im 50 feet away from the car now.

mine goes off randomly horn/lights 4 times , anyone have a idea ?
