98 GP GT reseting oil light?



I'm trying to turn off my change oil light and I have tried the turn the ign on and press the gas pedal down 3 times to reset it. BUT it don't go off. Also read somewhere that there was a red button on the fuse box in the glove comp...nope not on mine. I'm kinda stumped. It is a 98 GP GT. There is a change oil light by the trac and windshield washer fluid light. I know nothing is wrong because the light was off when I got the car and just came on last week. Anyone else have a 98 with light like this? I don't have a owners manual with the car:-(

Make sure you do it slowly. I did it while watching the oil life percentage on my PT scanner. I did it somewhat quickly and it didn't work. But, if you time it right so all three take about 4-4.5 seconds total (which is actually kind of slow when you do it), it will reset.
