97 stupid issues

I can't seem to figure out what's going on with my 97 GT. For about 3months now I can't get my windshield washers to spray and I've tried everything aside from changing out the motor. Then when I put HIDS in the right turn signal started acting as if a bulb was bad. I replaced all of them on the right side and nothing changed. So between these 2 issues I can only assume something is going on with the Multifunction switch. I'm really hitting a wall and with winter ahead of us and living in MI I really do need to fix these stupid issues.

Any and all help would greatly be appreciated .

It's not uncommon for the windshield spray pump to die. Throw a meter on it and see if it gets power as suggested.

On the turn signal issue, you say it all started after you installed the HID's. Have you double checked all your wiring? If the issue didn't exist before the HID's went in then I'd be taking a good hard look at what all was changed. It could be the MFS as well, but at least save yourself the $$ and check before you replace it.

The issue with your HID's is that you should be running an aftermarket wiring harness to the battery instead of using your factory one. I picked mine up for $12 IIRC about 4 years ago.

Is there a relay or something that could also contribute to the washer fluid issue ? And, no I haven't checked if there is power running to it , I honestly don't know much about ohm meters , what would I have to have it set at to check it properly ? And I actually put the stock headlamps back in after I noticed the issue and it was doing the same thing. I've put Hids in just about every car I've owned at one point or another and I've never experienced these types of issues what so ever .

Check power first, you are reading 12VDC, set the meter up to measure +DC VOLTS, whatever range is closest to that, but not under.
If your meter is " AUTORANGING" you don't have to worry about range.

Or, just get a 12V test light. It will have 2 wires and a light that comes on in the presence of power.

Ok Im going to have to try that tomorrow after work, so today I got into the car drove to work (26miles each way) and when I went to pass someone the (Abs,Trac off,Tire pressure ) lights came on. And stayed on until I got off work. I left work and they were off, but when I got into the throttle while driving home they came back on .

What could cause this ? My only thought would be a bad wheelbearing, but im really not sure. Since purchasing this car I've had so many stupid electrical issues , that I can't seem to figure out what is going on with it, I've gone through every normal step with the Radio issue, and from time to time when i open the door it will stop playing and restart the radio, now the stupid issues I've listed above and the issues I just brought up. Im honestly about to just loose my cool haha

HELP!

jack up the wheels, one by one, leave the lugs tight, grab the wheel at the top, give it a firm push, pull. if you have play when you do this is a bad hub.

the easiest way to tell if you have a bad windshield wiper pump in my opinion is to listen to it. while standing outside your car push the button to spray and see if you can hear the motor buzzing. if the only thing u hear is the wipers moving then you probably have a bad motor. i'm sure you know what the buzzing sounds like. they're cheap, commonly go out, and easy to do. throw one in and see if it works. if it doesnt then return it. easier than trying to figure out how to use a meter if you're not too familiar with it.

as far as the hub goes, personally, right or wrong, if its not making the humming sound while driving i wouldnt replace it. the bearings are so expensive because the speed sensor or whatever you want to call it is built on there. if thats all thats bad then who cares unless the ABS light drives you nuts. i look at it this way, i'm not spending 150 bucks for a sensor that throws a stupid code when the actual part is fine.

if you replace it, dont go Chinese. Get the Timken. those are the best bearings. 150 at the autoparts store or brand new for 100 bucks shipped on ebay.

Replaced the motor yesterday and the washer fluid is spraying again. Now to tackle the issue im having with the random (Low Tire Pressure,ABS,Low Traction) lights coming and staying on at random times. Now im noticing the 'LowTrac' light comes on when im turning , or taking off from a stop even when I have traction ... It's kinda odd to say the least . That and after hitting a deer last night and denting in my passenger side fender i'll need to try to pop those dents out if I can , and figure out my electrical issues that I am having for whatever reason .

yeah those wonderful built in electrical things in the hub they call sensors are wonderful for throwing codes and turnin on lights on your dash.
