Well i bought a gtp about a month ago and the previous owner lowered it 1" and told me i needed to buy shortened dog bones to cute the vibration problem.. But my dad noticed right away that the cv joint boot was all whack and all the grease was out and you could move it with your hand pretty good.. So we replaced the whole axel and it didn't do anything.. About a week or two later we got the shortened dog bones and it basically cured the vibration problem.. But about a week after i got the car i gave er hell and it was wet out and next thing i knew i heard a rumble noise.. The faster i go the louder it gets and it's just a constant rumble.. When i go around a corner doing about 50 mph or so it goes away/gets quieter. I'm thinking it's a ball bearing but not sure? Also i think since we didn't get the shortened dog bones in time the vibration ruined my brand new axel again because it spit out a little bit of grease and it has a little amount of play.. I think that's causing the vibration that just started recently.. Doing about 20 mph it almost seems like it's hopping or something it's a really bad bump feeling as if you're going over several potholes or something.. and you can feel the vibrating even at 60 mph but it's not as bad.. If anyone could tell me if the rumbling is from a wheel bearing i would appreciate it! :th_peaceout:
