97 gtp door chime

if i have the key in the ignition and open the door, the chime dings like normal, but when i take the key out with the door open it dings really fast and does not stop until the door is shut. what could be wrong? i have had it open with the key out and it will ramdomly stop dinging then start again, cant figure it out. might be related but when i put it into programing mode to try to program the keyfob i got to work on the car, it flashes a error code.
 


from reading around i think it sounds like a problem with my bcm, the local junkyard has a 97 gtp, what would i have to do to relearn it to work in my car, or would i just plug it in and it would work?
 
figured it out, i checked the wires going into the bcm and it ended up being the headlight/dimmer switch. it was not giving the bcm a + signal when the switch was turned to off.
