97 GTP DIC dead... Help please

I have a new to me GTP, When I first got it 2months ago I put in my stereo (JVC HU/MBQ1500D amp/pair 12" type R's). The stereo works great. My problem is, after the instal, my DIC and keyless remote quite working. Are they related to one another? I checked the fuse for the DIC and all looks good.

My questions are, how can I test the bulbs for the DIC? What bulbs do I need? If I have to replace the DIC, does it have to be specifically from/for a 97 GTP? I though I read somewhere the 97's are thier own animal. Gt wont have a boost gauge obviously so a GT wont work either.

Also how can I test my keyless remote transmitter (whatever the remote communicates with is called)? Should I just reprogram it first ad go from there? How do I do this? Something like close doors, pull PGM/MALL fuse, turn ign switch to acc listen for chime, turn ign off for 1sec than back to acc, open door, hold both lock unlock for 7sec.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

I figured I'll take the time to answer my own question being that no one else wanted to (other than 19gtp97) and its a fairly common question that goes unanswered... It was the 10amp fuse under the hood labeled radio. I initially was looking in the glove compartment. It wasn't until I looked at the under hood fuse block diagram, and I still didn't see anything specific to the DIC. Then I noticed radio/security, and being as the FOB went out at the same time, I put two and two together. I never suspected the radio fuse because the day I installed the HU, I reinstall the factory radio thinking the DIC was wired in conjunction to the radio, but no dice. The radio worked (strangely), but it was in security mode. I would've never suspected the radio fuse had I not noticed its combined with security/FOB considering I wired the HU directly to the batt. This also fixed the magsteer and ABS :). I still cant see how all this runs off a 10amp fuse, or why the hell it was under the hood. Hope this helps others.
