i found a 97 grand prix gt for sale. the guy is asking $1900 obo. the car has 180k miles but on the swapped motor 100k miles. is this a good deal? are there any common problems w/ these cars? he told me that the intake gasket, blower motor, and ignition switch were all replaced. as well new pads all around and tires and interior look good. car currently has ZZP PCM, CAI, and stage 1 TB. the car will be used to get back and forth to school. about 30-40 miles round trip. what should i be looking for?
 


If it runs and drive good, I say jump on it. But, you still have to realize that a car with that many miles, things will probably pop up here and there. Sounds like a good one though.
 
I agree... watch out for anything that was modded. For all you know he might of sprayed 100 shot through that motor every weekend, you don't know. I always suggest buying a bone stock car, especially for a daily driver. Buy at you own risk, but keep in mind **** may happen, you'll never know the full history of that car.
