My wife's 97 GT, 60K miles just started not wanting to start intermittently. Most of the time the car fires right up instantly but on occasion, when she turns the key, lights come on, you can hear the fuel pump running but the starter doesn't even try to engage. I had the battery checked, we've tried two different keys in Park and Neutral to no avail. The only clue I have is that when this happens, if you rotate the key back to accesory and then to start, the engine is running instantly. This doesn't always work but it does most of the time. It's very intermittent right now but I want to find it before it strands her.
Was just wondering if anyone has had any similar issues. We 've had three GTPs and this GT in the family but haven't seen this problem before.
