97 grand prix gtp 3800 supercharged wont start

i have a 97 grand prix gtp 3800 supercharged i went about 12 miles the other night to the gas station the car died as i pulled in and it wont start back up it has a new battery took starter off and had it tested it is fine iv been trying to avoid buying a lot of parts bc i simply don't have the money to do that but the more i read i still am confused as to what the problem is some say the maf sensor or fuel pump resistor some cars start back up that iv been reading about after the die but mine will not start at all i knew my altenator was going bad but i'm pretty sure even then the battery is charged it should start back up iv never had my car die b4 have not had any problems till now as i was reading to i also realized i had other problems with rough idling and it jerking when you sit still please i need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 


Are you positive the battery is up? Are you using jumper cables? Make sure the terminals are tight on the battery.
 
yes i have done all that my uncle is a mechanic and has no idea as to what the problem can be we even put the battery in his truck it started it right up
 
Check your grounds. It's possible you might have a bad ignition switch. Turn the switch forward and have someone jump the starter and see if it starts that way.
