was wondering what all had to be done to change a intake gasket. I've never really worked on these newer motors so im confused.
 


You pull the fuel rail, then the supercharger and related wiring, then take off the LIM, then clean **** up, then install new gasket, then install cleaned lim and new coolant elbow, then new sc gasket, then put fuel rail back on and your done.
 
and dump a quart of oil in the lifter valley to wash out any coolant, put it all back together. then do a oil and filter change.
 


I don't know why you have to wash coolant out. You didn't tell him to dump any in the lifter valley (don't do that BTW). I don't typically get any in the valley and therefore don't rinse. Only rinse if you get a decent amount in there. And if..you get that much in there..you'll be doing three or so oil changes to get it all out.
 
Found out where the leak was coming from, it was one of those coolant elbows below the supercharger. it think there are two of them that's what my friend
