we havent rebuilt it yet we are just trying to get it running until we buy a rebuild kit. a decent kit is around 700 not including the machinging of the block and other main componets.

not yet i think we are going to try diffrent rod bearings i didnt like how the ones we bought went in so we are going to try other ones but after that we are going to reassemble the motor and see if the knock has gone away.

Did you have the mains line bored before re-install?

If not, then take it out and get it done.

The crank isint torn up at all we litterly pulled it into the garage and then heard the knock then shut it off and check the oil and found metal shavings

We never removed the crank. were just trying to get my car atleast moving so it can be out of the garage until we rebuild the motor.

build is done!!!!! my motor lives and damn does it run good and sounds great... im so happy that its finally done hahahah. ill have some more pics when shes all cleaned up and ill take a video also.... is it ok if i run my plug wires like this ? i bought zzp 10.5mm wires and they are looooooong.
 
thanks man alot of time has gone into it. ive got the zzp polished valve covers and everything is painted everything lol but im 100% proud of myself for rebuilding my entire engine from a bare block by my self

just a little update. I found out that my crank seal was bad and had to replace it. and also had to put a new throttle body gasket on as well. But other than that the car is running great. ive put 150 miles on it so far and no hiccups at all. car starts right up and the idle is awesome compared to stock with the vs cam. also i just bought the torque pro app and an obdII Bluetooth adapter.


i cleaned up the engine bay alot and tried moving the wires but the front wires are too short to wrap underneath but ohwell
