That's awesome I've searched for these for years for my 2000 2 door grand prix and can't find any that aren't already broke. My car didn't have them when I bought it did you use any glue or adhesive when installing them?

There is some sort of adhesive inside the trim already. The OP used a heat gun on his to help fitment and adhesion. I did not, and everything has been tight and stayed put so far.

I had a 1997 Bonneville SE that I kept in like-new condition; owned that car from 1999 to October 2015 when my wife totaled it.
But we also bought a 2001 Grand Prix GT in 2003 for my wife, and sold it in 2010 when we got a minivan for the kids.
The neighbor I sold it to got a newer vehicle this summer and *gave* the Grand Prix back to me. I did a lot of searching for a material to replace those brittle door trim strips with, including pulling them at a salvage yard, but they're just too brittle and shatter if you look at them. That rubber edge-trim is really the best option out there to replace that trim, and it's pretty cheap. It ships in a coil and has a bit of shape-memory to it, so heating it with a heat gun or letting it lie in the sun for a while is really good to get it to warm up and relax the coiled-up shape. I don't think the bead of glue along the inside really does very much, but the fit of the trim is nice and tight, so it stays in place really well.
 
I meant to post this last year, thanks for reminding me. I looked all over also and finally found this trim on Amazon.com that shipped from India LOL. Its rubber so not prone to cracking and dresses the doors up nice. Has a steel insert enbedded in the rubber to give it some rigidity and grip.
