What spots are known to rust? My Subframe i believe its called its rusting away bad i just noticed today. My car is a 2002 grand prix se.

Jeebus that's bad.
Don't see many rust out like that, must have had some damage done to it at one point to allow salt inside and rust it out.
Rockers and rear strut towers the worst spots for rust on the 97-03 body style.

am i looking at a rotted hole in the sub frame? thats real bad and should be replaced asap.

I agree that your picture needs worked on ASAP.
I know from personal experience rear towers can go. It can be a pain, but if you are seeing rot, pull your rear struts and look at where they mount. On my 99 I didn't see any rot until after I put a strut in the trunk.

Never ever saw that kind of damage on the old gen stamped steel subframes even here in Canada.
Heck, even my previous '00 had non-existent rockers and putty filled rear quarters yet the subframe was in great shape.
