97-03 GP's with (mostly) stock cat-backs help me out!

I was under the impression that the stock exhaust pipe size on the 97-03 GTP's was 2.5" to a split 2.25", but the last time I had my cat-back down, I measured the diameters and got 2.25" OD to a split 2.0" OD. That makes for a rather restricted exhaust...

Can someone who still has some stock exhaust do me a favor and go out and measure the OD of your pipes? I'm wondering if I was just mis-informed, or if I got screwed from the factory...

I may be in need of upgrading my cat-back before i try to drop to a smaller pulley.
 


your measurements are correct, and unless youre pushing some serious power then its not really a concern as far as a restriction goes.

i think youre good for another 50-100 hp before it becomes even a minimal problem. there are plenty of people running 350+ whp with stock catbacks.
