95 GP Seat Recliner.

Hello, I Just picked up this new (to me) 95 GP SE that has a couple issues.

-I got in it this morning, and randomly the seat just reclined the last 2 notches it had and wont move forward. is that the handle or the part of the mechanism on the seat? Ive never fixed one so Im just curious.

-It has a power steering whine, but the reservoir is full. clogged hose?

Thanks for any help, Seems pretty decent besides those issues, the rear end sagging and the little rust in the corners.

Sometimes the recliner handle gets held up by the plastic trim panel.

You can usually tell by lifting up on the recliner handle and looking at the plastic panel beneath the bottom edge of the recliner handle. If the plastic panel looks worn or has a white mark, the handle is hitting the plastic part and can not go all the way down to the fully locked position.

Try removing the handle and re-installing it one tooth further "up" so it doesn't touch the plastic panel.(IIRC, there's a "C" clip that holds it on - like a window crank handle)

If that recliner shaft is keyed so the handle can only be installed in one position, you'll need to either remove or re-work the plastic side trim or modify the bottom of the recliner handle so the handle can travel to the full down position.
