94 buick lesebre cuts out during acceloration.

We this buick will seem to cut out during acceloration yet it idles and runs. you hit the gas and its like the throttle boty doesn't open. and it has a flucuating idle. would you have an idea of what this is? Its sounds like the maf to me..
 


Thats what i was thinking. how would you check for this? And i forgot to add this happens when it gets real hot outside. It was 80 today.
 
Well it probably needs a tune up, and the clogged cat could very well be it. Ill have to check tomarow. Thanks for the help!
 
If the plugs and wires are suspect, then start there. Also clean the MAF. If the idle still won't hold then check for vac. leaks. My 95 Bonne was like this when I got it and all it needed was a tune up and one vac. line that comes off the TB replaced (it was cracked) and it runs like a top.
