'93 GP air conditioner problem

My wife recently purchased a '93 GP in excellent condition except for one thing- the air conditioner isn't producing cold air. I notice an ad on TV for a product which supposedly you can pump into your auto air conditioner to bring it back to life- can't recall the name of the product. The heater and vent work fine- the fans seem fine- it'll blow air, it's just not cold. Is it likely that it's broken or just needing to have the freon or whatever that stuff is pumped in? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

thanks,
Joe

Joe,

What you have mentioned suggests that the blower fan and blend doors are likely working properly. What we can't tell from your description is if the freon level is low or there is a larger issue with the car. Where in Mass are you located, maybe a local can take a look at it for you.

Bad news is if its still stock you have r12 refrigerant. You'll either need to retrofit it or try to find some r12
