• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Unless you're designing and fabricating your engine from scratch buying/building a n/a setup shows exactly 0% more engineering than putting together a blown setup. If you knew anything you'd realize how much "thought, engineering, and knowledge" goes into designing something like this instead of talking out of your ass.

ric.er

[rahy-ser]

-noun

an implement for ricing potatoes, squash, etc., by pressing them through small holes.

origin:
1895-1900 americanism

1. ricer 5795 up, 522 down

buy ricer mugs, tshirts and magnets
(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt) A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to): - Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder - Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747 - Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool - Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself - Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire - Clear tail lights and corner signals - A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine) - Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case. The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group

OP's car is a turd. Esp by V8 standards. I can understand his hate when the V6's are faster then his car with a downpipe lol

Sorry but my friend did several things to his GTP including a better pulley and it still wasnt faster than my GXP, so no I dont think its a turd, 0-60 5.0 is pretty good to me 13.6 1/4 is pretty good, I like my car but im not partial to it because I love the GTP's also, but then again mine is a decent amount faster than a stock GXP for some reason, I raced the exact same car but stock and I pulled on him easily. But no I dont agree with what the OP said, I just had to try and defend the GXP that literally everyone seems to hate so much....maybe its jealousy lol jk.

I've been away a week and some folks dont understand. Do you respect a turbo ricer the same as a sc 3800? Not much difference there. I saw a lot of hate when I got back so I want people with any knowledge to compare. I on one hand have faith in n/a engines. It shows thought, engineering, and knowledge. But on the other hand you have bums turbo charging anything but the lawnboy to cut their grass. And a wink to the guy that couldnt sleep for a week after my post /wink. /discuss. He even had to reply to himself lol.

your rant wasnt very well formulated.

Seems less of a rant and more of a stab at the people you got into a little brawl with earlier.

Wheres the proper section for this?:th_nanana:

But seriously, fours making big power have to spin high, not many here like the lack of low end power.

Larger engines = better chance of low end torque.

And the LS4 sucks, 305 HP?

My buddy's 305 makes that....:th_jester:

better than the 5.0 that made 220 to the crank stock, better than the mustang gt(pre 05) that made only 280, better than a lot of others too so there are worse.

Look at the new 5.0 though :th_winking:. The ls4 is a decent engine makes decent power. The 5.0 in the fox bodys is 20 years old. Id hope a modern larger displacing engine would make more power lol.

i have a v6 with a turbo, spikey hair, and im half italian....i dont get this thread. in this day in age people prejudice against italians...unbelievable

Agreed...what the hell is up with the sh1t against Italians? You all can go to hell.
