5qts of RP w/ a Wix Oil Filter $35 at O'Riellys

What Scotty said about cutting the filters open after 1000's of miles of use is what I said the mom and pop auto parts store did, that resulted in them only carrying Wix now. The disintegration is troubling and was what they found in one of the K&N filters. This surprised me to be honest. The Fram filter media turning to a wet toilet paper consistancy happened to a member of our motorcycle forum pictures during the rebuild were provided. That wasn't an urban legend.

I would love to see some of these cut away filters myself after hearing about the status of the elements...Hmmm on second thought, maybe I would want to see. I aasume without cutting the filter you wouldn't be able to tell much. I've examined nearly every filter I've changed and have never seen an element looks odd. That includes nearly every big name filter out there.

One thing about the Amsoil filters is, unlike nearly ALL of the others, I don't recall ever hearing anything negative.
 


You can get them from Scotty. He is an Amsoil dealer. Hmmm wonder if a bunch of us got together a group buy could happen.
 
Well I try to avoid stating that in the forum because I did not want a conflict of interest or there to be a perception that I was using the forums as a client base. But yes, I do sell the products.

I got a case of Amsoil 7,500mile oil (12 quarts, 3 oil changes) and 2 wix filters for like $98. But my next purshase I get like 25% off or something because im a "preferred customer" or some sh*t.

Once you start getting the 25% discount that doesn't sound too bad. By the time I add $8 for two Wix filters to the $66 I pay for a case RP, dollar wise it's almost the same. Once the RP isn't on sale any more it would be a lot more expensive.

The slight purple tint threw me off the first time I saw it. I almost panic'd, since it was being funnelled in already. Soon as it heats up it's as clear as any other oil, except Schaeffers Supreme 7000, which is clear.
