The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
...are these good for fog lights? A friend of mine has them in his TBSS and said the melted the housing because of how hot they got. Is there any truth to that?
Well on the gxp it has those round bubble out fog lights not sure if its glass or plastic lens. I know its the same as on a TBSS. I have had 35w on my old 98 regal gs and it never melted them.
yeah i would go with the 35watters, ive never had an issue with em. But then again if you look at our foglight housing it is rather small. I would never attempt to put the 55's in there
Just get 35 watt. That is, if you insist on getting HID fog lights. I had them in my GXP fogs and honestly can't stand what they did to the output of fairly high quality Morimoto bulbs. I was naive at the time and most likely melted the housings pretty seriously running my 35 watt bulbs in them for 2+ years.
Honestly, the size of our fog lights and the optics couldn't be less ideal for an HID bulb. My advice to you is either retain halogen in them (if you're going for actual visibility from the fog lights) or retrofit some Ford Fusion glass lens projector fogs. This is what I am doing as they are worlds better than the cheap ones that come in our cars and they take extremely well to HID's as a result of highly refined optics.
