5 button DIC question

I need to replace my DIC. Someone ripped out my radio and broke the DIC in the process. I have seen some for sale. My question is if I plug in a used one will it read the miles that I have on my car or will it read the milage of the car it came off of?

when your DIC is unpluged it resets. in the 5 button one im not sure never looked in one but i know the 3 button one resets

It resets? It resets to zero miles? Or you mean it will default to the miles that are on the car?

on mine it resets to 0. as in 100% oil life left, 0mpg.

I have a 5 button dic for sale, only thing you need its the ambient temperature sensor but thats 5 dollars from your local dealership

It will read the mileage of the donor car. You can have a GM dealership program the mileage into the new one for you. It's a little expensive, but not bad by any means, they usually just charge you for a straight hour of labor.
