I cant remember where I found this information but Id like to upgrade my 3 button DIC to a 5 button, but the mileage reprogram is always the hold up - anyone here have the background or knowledge to confirm this would work or can clarify the steps as it doesnt seem to have all the info one would need to finish it:
Follow the procedure below to program the IPC/DIC:
Important:
If the vehicle has air conditioning, you now must turn on the air conditioning feature. - Not really needed due to the update.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must keep the old IPC/DIC in the vehicle until prompted to replace it.
1. Select J2534 Tech 2(R).
2. Load the VIN number in TIS2WEB.
3. Highlight (SF) Special Functions and click Next.
4. Click the Next button and begin the programming process.
Programming time - 1 to 4 hours
Using the Tech 2(R)/CANDi module (only), navigate to the IPC module setup function. Perform the function as requested.
