5.3 V8 and 3.9 V6, any high perf. goodies avail?

I've decided to see if finances will allow picking up an '06 or '07 Impala instead of going with an '05 Supercharged 3.8 Impala. I know what the 5.3 is capable of bone stock as I drag raced my '07 Monte SS at the local track. I figure the Impala should be damn near as quick even though it may weigh a bit more. Are there any aftermarket "goodies" available for the 5.3 yet?
Also, anyone drag raced an LTZ Monte or Impala? I know they have 240 h.p. same as the supercharged models but not sure about the torque output. I figure they should do low 15s in the 1/4.

from what i've heard from some of the gxp owners, there isn't much of an aftermarket for the 5.3. transverse mounted V8's aren't that common, i'm sure there could be improvements but there isn't much of a market niche like there is for some of the V6's.

Basically you can do small flow mods for the LS4 or drop a **** ton of money on a turbo kit.

3.9 L high value? No idea on that one. Can't imagine theres much yet.

Currently swapping the LS4 into my Grand Prix. The market is getting somewhat better. I honestly feel like I did when I owned my DSM years ago. Pretty much everyone is doing their own home made stuff and sharing it. They have finally fit the LS6 Intake Manifold onto it. I think anywhere from 20-35 hp is to be expected. Some of the guys have been fooling with different cams. They have been removing the DoD, etc.. and the cars are making some decent-great power now. They just had a group buy on some Headers made by Thorley. Cartuning also has a turbo kit available for it. One guy is running low 11's with it but not running his max he could with it. Not bad.

The 5.3 is growing. I'm enjoying playing with this thing. Not sure what Cam I want though. Either way it's going in pretty much stock next week aside from the LS6 IM I bought to modify.
